2026 WSOP packages
The 2026 WSOP runs from 26 May to 15 July at Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas with 100 bracelet events; the Main Event (Event #82) has a $10,000 buy-in and starts on 2 July. ClubGG's WSOP qualifier season usually runs from February to July, with more than 100 Main Event packages in 2026 plus $1,700 tickets as intermediate prizes.
Other live series reachable through ClubGG include the APT (Asian Poker Tour, with 2026 stops in Taipei, Incheon and Jeju) and RGPS. For players in Taiwan, APT Taipei (22 April to 3 May, and 12 to 29 November) is the most practical target: no visa and no long-haul flight.
Working the numbers: expected value of this route
Scenario: one year of Platinum
Cost: $49.99 × 12 = $600. Say you play five qualifiers a week, 250 a year. To break even you need at least one $1,700 ticket a year, or one $10,000 package every three years.
With fields in the hundreds and a multi-tier structure, a recreational player's annual chance of a package is in the low single digits. Conclusion: treat it as $600 a year of entertainment and practice, with a package as a bonus. It is not an investment.

Platinum makes sense. Qualifier fields are mostly recreational, and solid push/fold and ICM knowledge is a real edge.

Qualifier strategy essentials
- Satellites are about crossing the line, not finishing first. Late on, protect your stack into the prize zone and avoid unnecessary confrontations.
- Early fields are extremely loose. Free chips make people shove at random; wait with strong hands.
- Read the ticket rules. Weekly final tickets expire; a missed event is a lost ticket.
- ICM beats GTO here. When several equal tickets are awarded, 10th place pays the same as 1st.
