A beginner's walkthrough. From clicking Register to email verification, region checks, KYC document upload and the first client login, each step is marked with the place people get stuck. Registration takes about ten minutes; KYC review adds one to three business days.
Two minutes of preparation
- An email you actually use. Verification and withdrawal notices go there.
- Your name exactly as on your ID. Including the order of romanised names.
- No VPN. Register on your normal connection to avoid region checks later.
- A nickname. It is visible at the table and changes are limited.
Registration in seven steps (about ten minutes)
- Open the registration page from the official entry point and click Register or Sign Up.Agent sites from search results collect your details on their own forms; the resulting account is not in the official system.
- Enter email and password. At least eight characters with mixed case and numbers. A password manager helps.
- Enter nickname, real name and date of birth. The nickname is public; name and birthday are for verification only.People who enter a nickname or abbreviation as their name have to redo KYC later.
- Verify your email. Click the link. Check spam first if nothing arrives, then use Resend.
- Download and install the client following the download guide, then log in.
- Complete region verification if asked. If your location does not match, upload proof of address.
- Set a fund password and two-factor authentication under Settings → Security. The fund password is needed for withdrawals and resetting it requires support.

KYC verification: when it happens and how to pass first time
GGPoker usually requires KYC before the first withdrawal. Some accounts are asked earlier once deposits reach a threshold. Having documents ready keeps the wait to one to three business days.
| Document | Requirement | Common rejection reasons |
|---|---|---|
| ID document | National ID, passport or driving licence, both sides, all four corners visible | Glare, cropping, expired |
| Proof of address | Utility bill, bank statement or household registration extract within three months | Older than three months, address differs from registration |
| Selfie with ID | Face and document in the same frame, text readable | Blurry document, face covered |
| Payment proof | Crypto withdrawals sometimes need an exchange account screenshot | Screenshot without the account name |
Time saver: upload documents under Settings → Account Verification on the day you register instead of waiting for a withdrawal. Phone photos are fine; no scanner needed.
Login problems and fixes
| Symptom | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| White screen after login | VPN node, leftover update files | Disable VPN; on Windows delete %localappdata%\GGPoker and reinstall |
| Wrong email or password | Typo, or registered with a different email | Use Forgot Password; check which email you used |
| Region verification requested | Location differs from registration | Upload proof of address; one to two days |
| Temporary lock | Repeated wrong passwords | Wait 30 minutes or reset the password |
| Security review | Unusual login, multi-account suspicion | Provide ID via in-client chat or support email |
| Forgotten fund password | — | Contact support; identity check, one to two business days |
Support channels and response times are on the support page.
Three things to do after registering
1. Choose a bonus option
The first deposit page offers either 100% up to $600 or $100 in tickets. Run the numbers first.
2. Prepare USDT
Most players in Taiwan deposit in USDT. The payments guide covers networks and fees.
3. Start with freerolls
Daily freerolls let you learn the interface and All-in Insurance at zero cost.

Account security
- Enable two-factor authentication and a fund password, and use different passwords for each.
- Never lend your account. GGPoker treats account sharing the same as multi-accounting.
- Deposit and withdraw only through the in-client cashier. Any message asking you to send money to "support" or an "agent" is a scam.
- Check Settings → Login History for unfamiliar devices from time to time.
Responsible play and regional note
By registering you confirm you are at least 18 (19 to 24 in some jurisdictions) and accept the operator's terms. Taiwan has no licensing regime for online poker and offshore platforms are not supervised locally. Play only with money you can afford to lose. Taiwan's 1925 helpline is free and open 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to register at GGPoker?
An email address, a password, a nickname, plus your real name and date of birth. The name must match the ID you upload later for KYC or withdrawals will be blocked. A phone number is used for two-factor authentication and is worth adding.
What is region verification?
On first login the system compares your registered region with your actual connection. If they differ you are asked for proof of address. Accounts registered on a VPN and then used from Taiwan hit this most often.
Which documents does KYC need?
A clear photo of both sides of an ID document (national ID, passport or driving licence) and a proof of address issued within three months (utility bill, bank statement or household registration extract). Some accounts also need a selfie holding the ID. Review usually takes one to three business days.
The client shows a white screen or spins after login. What now?
Disable your VPN or change server, then restart the client. On Windows delete the %localappdata%\GGPoker folder and reinstall. On mobile clear the app cache or reinstall.
How do I unlock my account?
Repeated wrong passwords trigger a temporary lock; wait 30 minutes or use Forgot Password. A security-review lock needs proof of identity via in-client chat or the support email and is normally resolved in one to two business days.
Can one person have two accounts?
No. A second account from the same person, device or payment source is frozen and the balance and bonuses can be confiscated. Family members sharing a computer must each use their own account and payment method.
